PADI or TDI's Sidemount Diver specialty is the perfect course for any technical diver who wants to use the increasingly popular equipment, either as a "stand-alone" course or in conjunction with other open circuit specialties. Students learn how to use side-mounted tanks safely as an alternative to rear-mounted equipment. This course will introduce participants to specific techniques and learning, and will also develop the ability to distinguish the side-mounted bottle method from the traditional one. During the course, 4 dives will be completed and the following skills will be acquired: handling equipment, air management, attaching the tanks, trimming and ascending, stationing during ascent, different ways of entering the water
